Summer is near! And as a resident of this great state of Michigan, I couldn’t be happier. I love living in a state with all 4 seasons, but it always seems like it takes for ever for the 80’s to arrive. Last week I realized that the twin’s only had 2 more weeks of school left. On one hand, I’ll miss having a few hours to myself everyday, but on the other hand, I’m ready to have some fun.
While I was explaining to my 3 year old’s that the school year was ending, we started to talk about our summer plans. Since we’ve traveled with them since they were tiny infants (3 months old), they love to go go go. But, it’s a little more difficult these days since we’ve been on a strict budget. Some of the ideas that we came up with are budget friendly, the others are closer to the borderline. Check out our list below.
- Detroit Zoo
- Detroit Institute of Arts
- The park
- The library
- Road trip to Ohio for Chick-Fil-A
- Hands on Museum in Ann Arbor
- Aquarium
- Legoland
- A day at the local rec center with an indoor water park
- Chicago
- Cincinnati Zoo
- Local splash pad
- Atlanta
- Michigan sand dunes
- Sesame Place
I can’t wait to start our adventures for this summer. We’ll be getting very creative on some of these destinations, but it should be a summer full of fun!
